Ministers Yitchak Herzog and Shalom Simchon of Labor wrote an urgent message to Government Secretary Ovad Yechezkel Saturday night, asking that he remove from Sunday's cabinet agenda the discussion of a reform planned by Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann.

The reform would amend a Basic Law which defines the High Court's status regarding Knesset legislation.

The ministers say that any change in a Basic Law requires the agreement of all members of the coalition, and trying to change the law without their support is a breach of the agreement between them.
