The Arab High Supervisory Committee in Israel decided that all schools in the Arab sector must devote two hours to teaching the songs and legacy of Mahmoud Darwish, the Arab poet who died last month.
Darwish's poems include a line directed by an Arab to a Jew, vowing to "eat the flesh of my usurper."
