A large group of rabbis has called to hold special prayers on this Monday, 8 Elul, to mark the day on which the IDF left Gaza in the "Disengagement."
The Kommemiyut movement and the Yesha Rabbis Council have recommended that special prayers be said nationwide before Mincha prayer that day. The main gathering for reading selichot and the reading of the VeYachel Torah portion will be at 5:30 P.M. at the Kotel.
