Red Hat, associated with the Linux computer system, has bought out the Israeli hi-tech company Qumranet for $107 million. Qumranet is a leader in platforms for independent computer work, employing 60 people, with offices in Raanana and in the United States.
The company is named after the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947.
