Terrorists carried out surveillance of El Al air crew members in Toronto, Canada recently. The terrorists arrived in Canada in early August and were spotted observing the crew members at one of the hotels in which the airline crew stays during its layovers on international flights.

In June, American journalists reported that a Hizbullah cell had been caught carrying out reconnaissance on the Israeli Embassy in Ottawa and other targets in the province.

Since the slaying of Hizbullah operations officer Imad Mughnieh, Israel has issued terror warnings to businesspeople abroad that they could be targeted. However, the thought that El Al crew personnel might also be in danger was received as a surprise.
