Israeli weakness in the face of Hizbullah's re-arming, the landing of Free Gaza boats and talks between Hamas and Jordan and Egypt are signs that the terrorist party is winning the war against Fatah, according to Daoud Kuttab, an Arab columnist and director of a media Non-governmental organization (N.G.O.) registered in Jordan and the Palestinian Authority (PA).
"The signs of Hamas' victory can be seen all over," he wrote in a commentary that appeared on the bitterlemons.org website and in the Beirut Daily Star. Kuttab also visited the Russian-Georgian war, which he said exposed the weakening influence of the United States.
"Leaders of Jordan and Egypt understand that they can't blindly follow the policies of a discredited American government and a failed Israeli leader to break the Islamists," he added.
