Hamas has accused Israel of conducting a propaganda war over the negotiations for the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit because it has been unable to win more concessions from the terrorist party. Israeli officials "exchange their roles on the media, and sometimes on the ground, to put pressure on Hamas and the captors to respond to Israel's conditions and criteria," said Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoom.
 
He charged that Israel is trying to target the families of imprisoned terrorists, according to the Chinese news agency Xinhua.
