Soldiers, Naalin Villagers Give Different Versions

Arab villagers and family members of the Naalin man who was injured during an IDF arrest of his brother two nights ago have given a totally different version of events that were described by soldiers. Pro-Arab groups and a Palestinian Authority (PA) legislator have demanded that the IDF be tried in on the World Court for wounding the man, who they have claimed is mentally ill. The family said its members did not interfere in the arrest.

However, troops came under a rock-throwing attack and at least one tear gas grenade that were thrown at them during the arrests. Soldiers said the man they wounded charged at them, tried to take a soldier's gun and yelled, "Allah is great," a slogan often used by attacking terrorists.
