A green head covering worn by a Brooklyn, New York environmentalist and artist has sparked a demand for a green kippa (skullcap), the New York Jewish Forward reported. Miki Katagiri was spotted wearing her head covering when a passerby suggested it would make a great kippa.

The result was the "yarmulchia," a green kippa, but it is available only on a made-to-order basis.
