The Tzomet Sfarim bookstore chain said its additions of a coffee shop and tables for reading have helped boost sales by 30 percent. New stores also include free Internet access. The chain is in the process of opening 10 new branches, bringing to 85 the number of its stores, which have provided tough competition for the old-line Steimantzky chain.
The new stores are located from the Rosh Pina in the Upper Galilee to Ashkelon in the south.
