August saw the highest number of travelers so far this year in terms of passengers through Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport.

More than a million travelers -- 1.34 million, to be exact -- made their way through the airport during the month of August. On Sunday, a record-breaking 55,000 travelers are expected to pass through the international terminal on the last day of the month.
