Swastikas were discovered painted in motor oil on the driveway of a Conservative Jewish synagogue in suburban Philadelphia on Friday. 

The Lower Merion Police Department promised congregants of Beth Am Israel in Penn Valley that they would look into the incident, and would increase patrols near the synagogue, especially during religious services.
