Terrorists Sign Promise Not To Return to Violence

Nearly 200 terrorists whom the government is freeing at this hour signed a document before leaving Ofer Prison, promising not to return to attacking Israelis. The government is transporting them from the jail to the Bitunia checkpoint on their way to Ramallah. Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas will greet them in a welcoming celebration, in addition to later Arab festive homecomings in Hevron and Shechem.

The Almagor terror victims association protested to the High Court that some of the terrorists had carried out attacks against Israel while serving in the PA police with weapons that Israel approved to bolster the position of Abbas. The court rejected the petition against the release.
