U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is expected to reveal his choice for vice-presidential running mate within hours. He has told journalists he has made his decision, which will be revealed by text message to the party's senators and supporters.
Obama and his running mate are set to make their first campaign appearance together in Illinois, on Saturday. "I've made the selection, that's all you're gonna get," Obama told reporters while campaigning in Virginia on Thursday.
The Democrats will hold their party convention in Denver on Monday.
