Sources close to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert say that he does not intend to give in to Shas's demands as the cabinet vote on the nation's budget – scheduled for Sunday – gets nearer.

The sources added that the intense negotiations with Shas will only begin when the Knesset vote nears and that right now Olmert is concentrating on compromise with Labor and the pensioners.
