(IsraelNN.com) In the wake of the cabinet decision Sunday to release 200 Arab terrorists from Israeli jails, and President Shimon Peres's refusal to pardon Jewish prisoners in jail for nationalist-motivated offenses, several right-wing activists have come together in what they have named the Committee for Democracy to launch a campaign to free Yigal Amir from jail. Amir was sentenced to life in prison for assassinating Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin in 1995.

Participating in the meeting, in a Jerusalem Hotel, were Baruch Marzel, Avigdor Eskin and Itamar Ben-Gvir, along with the anonymous donor who provided funding for a previous "free Yigal Amir" campaign.

The Committee for Democracy plans to produce a video entitled "Free Yigal Amir 2," which will include clips of the celebrations in Beirut when murderous terrorist Samir Kuntar and other terrorists were released to Hizbullah in exchange for the bodies of reserve soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. Other clips to be included are images from the celebrations in the Palestinian Authority over the release of Arab terrorists from Israeli jails.
