The Environmental Protection Ministry charged that three major gas companies - Paz, Delek and Sonol - are guilty of excessive air pollution in the Haifa area.

The Ministry filed charges against the three companies on Sunday, alleging that they failed to take appropriate steps to contain the gas fumes at their Haifa facilities. Lawyers for the companies have yet to file their responses.
