Charges Dismissed Against 4 Disengagement Protesters

Three years after the expulsion from Gush Katif and northern Samaria, charges have been dropped against four men who were charged with rioting and blocking roads.

According to their lawyer, Naftali Wurtzberger, the four are hi-tech employees who went to protest against the eviction of Homesh in Samaria. They were blocked by a police force near Harish and when they asked to see a written order, they were arrested.

"Judge Ginot of Hadera decided, after the Prosecution refused to cancel the charges, that the fact that the people did not agree to ask for forgiveness is no justification for pressing charges and he erased the charge sheet," Wurtzberger said.
