At least 1,500 people protested in front of the Prime Minister’s Office Sunday afternoon in Jerusalem on behalf of the Ethiopians waiting in Gondar who still want to immigrate to Israel.
The Jewish Agency for Israel closed its office there last month. Approximately 8,700 people still hope to leave Ethiopia and immigrate to the Jewish State, although their Jewish status, and/or intention to convert to Judaism and live as Jews, is questionable.
