A Jewish woman from the southern American state of Georgia has won the silver medal at the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing in women's fencing competition. Sada Jacobson defeated her Ukrainian and Russian opponents before reaching the final round.
She lost her attempt to win the gold medal when she lost to a fellow American, Mariel Zagunis.
