Gil Shwed, chief executive officer of the Check Point Software Technology firm that is listed on the NASDAQ exchange, told shareholders he is earning the minimum wage as his salary. He explained that by foregoing the usually large salary for a C.E.O., he hopes to prove that he is working out of love and not for money.
However, he is retaining the right for one million stock options, although this is half the amount he received last year.
