Transportation and Road Safety Minister Shaul Mofaz is expecting Housing Minister Zev Boim to back him for leadership of the Kadima party when the Housing Minister announces his decision Monday. Boim said last week that both Ministers Mofaz and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni are worthy candidates and that it was not an easy decision to choose one.
He noted the Foreign Minister's popularity, which shows she has a better chance to win a plurality for Kadima in the next general elections. However, he said that the Transportation Minister's experience in security makes him an equally attractive candidate.
