Human error and not a technical malfunction caused a light airplane to crash in Haifa Thursday, according to the preliminary findings of a Civil Aviation Authority team.

The investigative team, headed by investigator Yitzchak Raz, will split up into several crews Friday that will examine the plane's remains on the ground as well as its maintenance records.
