A 13-year-old American will win the highest personal prize possible in the Olympic Games next Saturday, August 16, when he celebrates his Bar Mitzvah at the Chabad House in Shanghai. His father said that celebrating the occasion in China will help give his children "a better understanding of China since it is rapidly becoming one of the most important countries in the world," according to JTA.
Chabad is preparing for large crowds at Sabbath services during the Games, and the Chabad House will feature a Sino-Judaic exhibit.
