The IDF control of Jericho is "absolute" despite the deployment of Palestinian Authority (PA) police in the city, Brigadier General Yoav Mordechai said Monday. He estimated that allowing the Hilles clan to move to Jericho will not worsen terrorism in the city.

Israel allowed the clan to enter Israel after Hamas attacked it in Gaza. Brig.-Gen. Mordechai said the clan members will be confined to Jericho and added that while they are not "saints," they are not terrorists on the level of suicide bombers.
