Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said Sunday that it is "obvious" that peace with Syria would require an Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights, but also asked Syria to stop transferring weapons to Hizbullah and other terrorist organizations.

Speaking on the CNN Late Edition TV show, Livni told interviewer Wolf Blitzer "the idea of peace means, of course, territorial concessions. But, it is more important to understand that peace means that Syria should stop now the transfer of weapons from Syria to Lebanon, to Hizbullah, and [stop] Syrian support of terrorist organizations, including the Hamas headquarters in Syria. Their connections with Iran don't help either."
