Likud Knesset whip Gideon Sa'ar said Sunday that Syrian President Bashar Assad's visit to Tehran proved that the Kadima government's policies have failed.

"After Olmert and Livni rolled out the red carpets for Assad in Paris and chased after his handshake, Assad responded with a ringing slap on the face," Sa'ar said. "The continuation of the delusional negotiations with Assad will give the Syrian dictator international legitimacy," he added.
