Prime Minister Ehud Olmert agreed to the deployment of a multinational force between Israel and Lebanon and Syria. He also told the Cabinet, "We must not flinch regarding Hizbullah. The current military operation will not be halted... If we remain firm, we will be victorious."

--At least 65 people have been killed in a Sunday morning Israel Air Force attack in Qana, Lebanon. IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz said that the military did not know that civilians remained in the village of Qana in southern Lebanon. The IDF distributed warning notices five days ago that the civilians should leave for the north because of planned attacks on Hizbullah.
