The Knesset House Committee has voted for an official state inquiry into the current water crisis. High Court President Dorit Beinisch will appoint the inquiry panel.
Water Authority director Dr. Uri Shani responded that an inquiry will not solve the country's water shortage. Infrastructure Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer (Labor) has placed the blame on the Finance Ministry for cutting funds for more desalinization plants that were approved by the Knesset.
