The mayor of Dimona praised an IDF counterterrorism operation Sunday morning that resulted in the death of the terrorist who masterminded a suicide bombing attack on Dimona last February.

Dimona Mayor Meir Cohen said, "I am glad the IDF's long arm reached this despicable criminal as well. It's the only way to deal with such people, and the sooner the better." The IDF's elite Duvdevan unit surrounded the home of Shihab al-Natsheh and fired a shell after the terrorist refused to surrender and instead began shooting at the soldiers.
