Israel is skeptical about reports that Iran has managed to install and operate 6,000 uranium enrichment centrifuges, as was claimed on Saturday by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

An unnamed Israeli official quoted by The Jerusalem Post said, "Our assessment, based on the latest available information and recent reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is that the figure of 6,000 centrifuges is unlikely. We believe a figure of between 3,400 and 3,500 is more accurate."
