Black flags warning of high waves have been posted at beaches along the Mediterranean Coast, where five people drowned Friday and Saturday despite the warnings. Among the dead were a 12-year-old boy and a 70-year-old woman.

Others were in serious conditions after being saved from drowning and rushed to nearby hospitals.

Magen David Adom medics urged citizens to take courses in resuscitation in order to increase the chances of saving lives.
