(IsraelNN.com) The Ministry of Education is "favorably considering" the possibility of changing the schedule of "bagrut" high school matriculation examinations and concentrating all of them in the summertime, after the school year is over.

According to Maariv/NRG, the ministry and the teacher's organizations are reportedly nearing a decision to cancel the "wintertime" matriculations because they hurt the students' ability to concentrate on other schoolwork.

If approved, the change would also require the IDF's agreement to delay the date of August enlistment for new recruits, because the period of examinations would be lengthened.
