The Knesset's State Control Committee will vote next week on establishing an official committee of investigation to look into the government's treatment of the people evicted from Gush Katif three years ago.
The head of the Gush Katif Evacuees' Lobby in the Knesset, MK Amira Dotan (Kadima), said at a meeting of the lobby that she would raise the matter in the State Control Committee, and the committee's chairman, Zevulun Orlev, estimated that it would receive a majority vote.
Orlev accused the government of botching the handling of the evicted families and "spreading very serious lies and false data as if everything is rosy and everyone has a home."
