President Shimon Peres will meet with Palestinian Authority Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas and several senior staff members, including negotiator Saeb Erekat, at the President's Residence in Jerusalem on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a government spokesman, the meeting was set in order to discuss the current Israel-PA final status talks, the geo-political situation in the region and "the development and implementation of the joint economic initiatives for strengthening the peace process."
