Court Turns Down Appeal To Detain Talansky

(IsraelNN.com) The Jerusalem District Court has rejected a request by State Prosecutor Moshe Lador that American businessman Morris Talansky be detained in Israel so that he can be face more questioning. Talansky is to complete on Tuesday the fifth and last day of grueling questioning by the defense team.

Talansky has caved in to tough questioning by the Prime Minister's attorneys, who have succeeded in showing that the American businessman does not remember several details concerning his transfers of hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash for the use of the Prime Minster when he was running or mayor of Jerusalem and was a Cabinet minister.

Another round of cross examination is scheduled for August 31.
