Prime Minister Ehud Olmert Sunday repeated his statement that a peace treaty with the "Palestinians" is closer than ever.
"I hope that we are able to stick to the timetable we committed ourselves to, and that we can overcome the differences, which are meaningful ones, by the end of the year," Olmert said.
Olmert spoke to reporters after his meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
