Israeli Olympic swimmer Max Jaben has failed his drug test, testing positive in two separate samples for anabolic steroid boldenone use, according to a statement issued by the Israel Swimming Association Saturday night. This seriously jeopardizes the chances of his being allowed to compete at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Jaben, an American immigrant who came on aliyah last summer, qualified for the 200-meter freestyle competition. He has previously competed for the University of Florida and the Kansas City Blazers.
