Karnit Goldwasser, wife of fallen IDF soldier Ehud, spoke at his funeral ceremony. The Hizbullah attack “on 12 July 2006, at 9:03, stopped time for us… instead, we were forced to dive into a dark world, to speak for two families, for an entire nation, for Regev and Goldwasser.”
Karnit spoke of how her fallen husband became a public cause for all of Israel:“During the time you were gone, your face became property of everyone; my personal Udi became the Udi for everyone.”
She prayed that “in this, my hardest mission, I did not disappoint you…without you here, on the day before your birthday, the journey that began on 12 July 2006 has come to an end.”
The funeral of Warrant Officer Ehud Goldwasser has ended at the Military Section of the Nahariya Cemetery.
