Presumed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will visit Israel and the Palestinian Authority next week. Obama will arrive on July 22 and stay about 24 hours.
Obama is expected to meet with the heads of the ruling Kadima Party, including President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni. He will also meet with Opposition Leader Binyamin Netanyahu and is scheduled to visit the Western Wall and the rocket-battered town of Sderot.
In Ramallah, Obama will meet with PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on July 23.
