Quartet Envoy Blair To Visit Hamas-Controlled Gaza

(IsraelNN.com) Quartet Middle East envoy Tony Blair will visit the Gaza area this week, the first time a senior international official has appeared there since Hamas wrested control from Fatah last summer. However, Arab and Western officials said that security considerations might force a postponement of the trip.
A recent Quartet economic package for the Palestinian Authority (PA) included money for sewerage projects in Gaza, breaking the year-long Western ban on giving financial aid to Hamas.
