A Knesset committee Monday approved a bill that would allow the Interior Minister to revoke the citizenship of Israeli Arabs who are convicted for involvement in terrorism or treason. The bill is sponsored by Likud Knesset Member Gidon Saar and now will face a vote on second and third readings in the Knesset.
Israeli Arab citizens carried out this year's terrorist attacks that involved the killing of students at the Merkaz HaRav yeshiva and the bulldozer attack that mowed down Jews in downtown Jerusalem.
