Police fraud investigators may summon the children of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who is suspected of having given them money that he received as a result of double-billing Jewish and pro-Israel organizations for at least 12 air travel flights. The Prime Minister's children said in a written statement, "Our father explicitly explained that the plane tickets were a present from him, paid from his pocket."
The Prime Minister and his lawyers have accused the police of trying to manipulate public opinion against him by issuing leaks to the media; police are continuing the investigation with a lower profile.
