A large forest fire has broken out near the town of Mevasseret Tzion, on the outskirts of Jerusalem. Police and firefighting units are arriving on the scene to deal with the blaze. Residents of Oren Street are being evacuated from their homes for their own safety and some streets in the town have been closed to traffic. Two firefighting airplanes are also involved in quenching the flames.
