Cleared for publication: The Israeli General Security Service (GSS), police and Border Guard arrested two residents of the Bedouin town of Rahat on suspicion of being Al-Qaeda operatives.

The two, registered members of the Islamic Movement, were indicted Wednesday at the Be'er Sheva District Court. They reportedly confessed to the allegations after interrogation.

Rahat is home to Israel's largest Bedouin community and is the only official Israeli-Bedouin city with a population of close to 40,000. The arrest has increased fears of future Israeli-Arab terrorist attacks and the impending Al Qaeda threat from within.
