Israel's High Court has rejected a petition against the release of Lebanese murderer Samir Kuntar as part of the government's prisoner exchange deal with Hizbullah.

The appeal was filed by the family of policeman Eliyahu Shachar, who was murdered by Kuntar in 1979 in a terrorist attack on the northern town of Nahariya.
