A joint IDF and Egyptian security forces inquiry has announced that in yesterday’s shooting incident near the Philadelphi Route south of Gaza, Egyptian army troops fired on an IDF force operating in the area. The IDF soldiers returned fire. An Egyptian officer was killed in the exchange.
