The State Comptroller and Ombudsman, Judge (ret.) Micha Lindenstraus, responded to the government decision to appoint him to look into the Ramon wiretaps that he "expresses his appreciation for the trust that was given him in the government session."

"The comptroller will do his best to look into the various questions regarding the wiretaps in a fair, professional and efficient way," a statement in his name said.
