The union of social workers and the Ministry of Welfare have reached an agreement that has ended 80 days of work sanctions and partial strikes. The agreement was mediated by Histadrut union leader Ofir Eini.
The government agreed to add 221 new positions for social workers, who have complained they are overworked and unable to operate properly. The agreement also allocates 14 million shekels ($4.3 million) for additional security guards.
