The Cabinet will consider on Sunday a proposal by Justice Minister Prof. Daniel Friedmann to establish a government committee to investigate the management of the case of Vice Prime Minister Chaim Ramon (Kadima). He was convicted of forcefully kissing a woman soldier who was completing her tour of duty in his office.

The courts decided that the conviction was not an act of "shame" and that he therefore could return to a government ministerial position. Prof. Friedmann has argued that the use of eavesdropping procedures and the transfer of other material in the case should be investigated.
